Creating an SARL (LLC) or an EURL (single-member LLC) in Algeria isn't a single formality — it's a sequence of steps across several administrations. This guide gathers them all — from hands-on experience — in order, with the useful official links and what you'll actually need once the company is registered.
💡 Tip: keep several copies of every document (trade register, NIF, articles of association…) — you'll be asked for them at nearly every office.
Phase 1: name reservation and legal incorporation
- Reserve the company name at the National Trade Register Center (CNRC): sidjilcom.cnrc.dz.
- Acceptance of the mission by the statutory auditor (for companies that require one).
- Lease agreement for the premises in the company's name (or title deed) — required to prove the address.
- Draft the articles of association (statuts) at the notary.
- Publish the articles in the Official Bulletin of Legal Announcements (BOAL).
- Incorporation notice in a national newspaper.
- Trade register extract (Registre de Commerce) from the CNRC.
- Make the company stamp and the manager's stamp.
Phase 2: mandatory tax and social registrations
- Obtain the NIF (tax ID) and declare the company's existence at the Tax office.
- Register with CASNOS — mandatory for all partners (social security for non-employees): casnos.dz.
- Statistical identification number (NIS / ONS).
- Open a bank account in the company's name.
- Release the share capital at the notary.
- Register with CNAS (employee social security) as soon as you hire: cnas.dz.
- Register with ANEM (National Employment Agency): anem.dz.
- Access the online tax platform jibayatic.dz to file your returns (G50…).
Phase 3: steps after incorporation
- Transfer the utility accounts at Sonelgaz and the water utility (ADE) to the company's name.
- Install a sign with the company name in front of the premises.
- Confirm the address with Algérie Poste: personally contact the postman so they register the address and know you are the manager — especially if the office is inside a building or a gated residence.
- Sign with an accounting firm.
- Certify the legal books at the court and the labor inspectorate: inventory book, accounting book, payroll book, work-accidents register, staff-movement register, leave register, hygiene & safety register.
- Online presence: a .dz domain name + hosting + professional emails.
✅ Several of these legal registers (payroll, staff movements, leave) can be kept and tracked electronically in Almawarid, instead of paper books.
Phase 4: registrations and approvals by activity
These don't apply to everyone — it depends on your activity:
- Intellectual property (trademark) at INAPI: inapi.dz.
- Beneficial owner declaration at the CNRC.
- Personal-data processing declaration at the ANPDP.
- Investment files via the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI): aapi.dz.
- Occupational-health agreement and annual medical checks for all employees.
- GS1 registration for product barcodes.
- Customs platform (ALCES) for import/export: douane.gov.dz.
- Qualification certificates for construction companies.
- Operating permit for factories and classified establishments (Environment).
- Sectoral approval from the supervising ministry.
- Customer number from the Ministry of Energy for service stations.
- Sanitary approval from the Agricultural Services Directorate (slaughterhouse, dairy…).
- Registration with CACOBATPH for the BTPH (construction) sector.
- Permits to buy chemicals and sell finished products (cosmetics…).
