What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to business software. Almawarid runs an MCP server: the assistant asks precise questions and gets answers drawn from your company, with no copying and pasting of spreadsheets.

What the assistant can do in Almawarid

  • Read your customers and their history.
  • Read your invoices and spot unpaid ones.
  • Check your stock and items running out.
  • Follow your revenue for the month.
  • Prepare quotes and proformas as drafts: nothing is sent or approved without you.

Security first

  • One key per user, created in the company settings: the assistant has exactly that person's rights, nothing more.
  • Read-only in one click if you want the assistant to read without creating anything.
  • Revocable at any time: a deleted key cuts access immediately.
  • Every call is logged: you see who asked what, and when.
  • The manager sees the whole team's keys and log.

What the assistant reads is sent to the AI provider (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT), under their own terms. Keep read-only for your most sensitive data.

How to connect it

  1. Turn on the MCP & LLMs module in your Almawarid account.
  2. In the company settings, create an AI access key and copy your personal address.
  3. Claude: add a custom connector and paste the address.
  4. ChatGPT: turn on developer mode, create an MCP connector and paste the address.
  5. Claude Code, Cursor: the server address and the authorization header are enough.
