Salesman in an auto parts shop in Algeria showing a brake disc to a mechanic across the counter

At a parts counter the sale is won or lost in a minute: the mechanic names the car, and you have to hand over the right part, the one that actually fits and that you have on the shelf. TecParts, the Almawarid auto parts module, starts from the customer's vehicle or from a reference and lists the compatible parts, together with what your stock holds.

“Does it fit a 2016?”: the question that loses the sale

In a spare parts shop, the knowledge lives in the head of the longest-serving salesman. The customer comes in with “a 2015 diesel Clio” or an old part in hand; you search paper catalogues, supplier files, your phone. One mistake and the part comes back the next day, the mechanic is unhappy and the car stays off the road.

And even when the right reference is found, the question that sells remains: do we have it? An original (OE) reference on the customer's side, a manufacturer reference on the box on the shelf, and nobody connects the two. The part sleeps on the shelf while the customer walks to the shop next door.

The vehicle or the reference on one side, your shelf on the other

The TecParts counter relies on the vehicle and parts referential of data.almawarid.app, focused on the vehicles on Algerian roads. The salesman picks the vehicle in three taps (make, model, engine) or types “clio dci 2015”; the middle group of the Algerian number plate, which ends with the year, helps find the right model year. He can also decode the VIN from the registration document, or start from a manufacturer, OE or superseded reference.

Every part listed is matched against your stock by its manufacturer reference and its OE references: when you have it, an “En rayon” (on the shelf) badge shows the item and the quantity available. Parts made in Algeria are flagged. For your own items, the “Vehicle compatibility” screen lets you tag a part to a specific vehicle or to a whole engine, which covers every vehicle that uses it at once; the stock list can then be filtered by vehicle.

At the counter, in four screens

  1. Choose the vehicle: make, model then engine, or a free-text search; the last vehicles looked up stay within reach.
  2. I have the VIN: the 17-character number from the registration document is decoded; a letter O typed instead of a zero is corrected rather than refused.
  3. I have a reference: manufacturer, OE or superseded reference: the search returns the part and what you have of it on the shelf.
  4. Check a part: the salesman scans or types the reference of a part on the counter and gets an immediate verdict: compatible or not with the chosen vehicle.

What you gain

  • Fewer returns. The part is checked against the vehicle before it leaves the shop, not after the car has been taken apart.
  • Stock that sells. The “En rayon” badge turns a search into a sale: you know at once whether you have the part, and how many.
  • New salespeople up to speed fast. The catalogue knowledge is on screen, no longer only in the memory of the most senior seller.
  • References that talk to each other. Original, manufacturer or superseded reference: matching works on either.
  • Algerian-made parts highlighted. Parts made in Algeria are flagged at the counter, so you can offer them when they fit.

Who is it for?

TecParts is for businesses that sell car parts over the counter or to garages. It adds to the Almawarid stock and point of sale: the search finds the part, stock tells you whether you have it, and the till or the invoice sells it.

  • Car spare parts shops
  • Auto parts distributors and wholesalers
  • Spare parts importers
  • Garages with a parts sales counter

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the internet to use TecParts?

For the parts list, yes: the catalogue is queried online. The vehicle search also works offline on the Desktop edition thanks to a local copy of the referential, and the screen says clearly when the catalogue cannot be reached.

Can I search directly by number plate?

Not by the full plate. The middle group of the Algerian plate, which ends with the year, helps find the right model year; to identify the vehicle exactly, the VIN on the registration document remains the safest route.

What if a model is missing from the referential?

An extended catalogue can be queried from the same screen. An unknown reference is reported as such: check your entry or report it to the Almawarid team.

How does the software know an item is on my shelf?

By their reference: matching uses each part's manufacturer reference and OE references. The more your item records carry these references, the more often the badge appears.

See the TecParts auto parts module on your own business

Bring three counter requests from this week, a registration document or a reference in hand: during the demo we look them up in TecParts and see what your stock would have sold.

  • The demo. An advisor shows you the TecParts auto parts module on your own business, online and on your screen, and answers your questions. Request a demo.
  • The trial version. It is switched on with an advisor during the demo, on your own account: your real products, your real customers, and 14 days to work in it. Create your account to request it.
  • The customisation workshops. During the trial, we adapt the screens, documents and settings with you to the way you work. These workshops are free.

The TecParts auto parts module is switched on on request: ask for it during the demo, the advisor gives you its price, and you only pay if you decide to continue. The base plans are on the pricing page (in French).
