Storekeeper in a tidy warehouse in Algeria scanning a carton with a barcode reader

Badly kept stock costs you money on both sides: the stock-out, when the customer leaves empty-handed, and the overstock, when your cash sleeps in cardboard boxes. The Almawarid Stock module tells you what you have, what it is worth, what no longer moves, and what to buy again before it runs out.

A notebook and a spreadsheet never see the stock-out coming

In most shops and warehouses, stock is discovered at the moment it is missing: the salesperson searches, finds nothing, and the customer walks next door. On the other side, items bought in excess gather dust at the back of the store for months, and nobody notices them.

A spreadsheet does not follow the day's sales, a notebook does not calculate a value, and the annual stocktake takes two days of closure for a result nobody really trusts. You decide your purchases by guesswork.

Living stock, updated by your sales and your purchases

In Almawarid, stock is not a file you maintain: it moves on its own. The till and invoices reduce it with every sale, receiving a purchase increases it, and every movement stays traced: in, out, adjustment, transfer. Quantities can be decimal for goods sold by the kilo, litre or metre.

Stock is valued at weighted average unit cost (CMUP), the method recommended by the Algerian financial accounting system (SCF): every purchase updates the cost, and your margins per product are calculated on a true cost. For perishable products you track expiry dates and are warned before the deadline.

Four screens that change the way you buy

  1. Scan to receive stock: you scan incoming items with the phone camera, a barcode scanner or a handheld terminal, adjust the quantity and save into the chosen warehouse.
  2. To reorder: for each product, remaining stock, daily outflow and coverage in days; you tick the lines and the supplier purchase orders are created.
  3. Stock health: best rotations, dormant products with no movement for ninety days, and shrinkage (breakage, theft, expiry) valued at cost.
  4. Stocktake: you open a count, scan the shelves, print the counting sheet, then validate: differences become traced movements.

What you gain

  • Fewer stock-outs. The low-stock alert is set product by product, with an email if you wish, and the reorder list is based on your real outflow.
  • Cash set free. Dormant products come out of the shadows: you know what to clear before buying anything else.
  • Accurate margins. The weighted average cost follows each purchase, and the stock value is available at any time, for you and for your accountant.
  • A catalogue ready in a day. Excel import and export, QR labels on A4 sheets or rolls, and rapid-fire scanning on receipt.
  • Expiry under control. Each receipt can carry its expiry date; batches nearing the deadline and those already past it are listed product by product.

Who is it for?

  • Wholesalers and distributors
  • Minimarkets, hardware and building-materials stores
  • Pharmacies, drugstores and cosmetics shops
  • Spare-parts stores
  • Workshops and small production units

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy hardware to scan?

Not to start: the phone camera is enough to receive stock. A USB or Bluetooth scanner, or a stocktaking terminal, then speeds up the work.

Can we import our existing catalogue?

Yes, from an Excel file, with a template you can download. The Excel export of stock works the other way, for your accountant or your counts.

Is stock valued properly for accounting?

Stock is valued at weighted average cost, the method recommended by the SCF, and every purchase updates the cost. For your precise accounting obligations, check with your accountant.

How are expiry dates handled?

You switch on expiry tracking and choose the number of warning days; products close to their date are flagged, and the alert can be sent by email.

Does it work without the internet?

Yes with the Desktop edition, installed on your PC, which can serve the other stations and terminals in the shop over the local network.

See the Stock module on your own business

  • The trial version. It is switched on with an advisor during the demo, on your own account: your real products, your real customers, and 14 days to work in it. Create your account to request it.
  • The customisation workshops. During the trial, we adapt the screens, documents and settings with you to the way you work. These workshops are free.

You only pay if you decide to continue, and prices are shown before you start on the pricing page (in French).
