Staff entrance of a factory in the morning: workers arrive and one places a finger on a wall-mounted biometric terminal

The biometric time clock is on the wall, punches pile up inside it, and at the end of the month someone copies everything into Excel to find out who was late and how much overtime to pay. The Almawarid Time and attendance module does that calculation every day, and payroll takes the result.

A machine full of punches, hours paid by guesswork

Many companies bought a time clock and use half of it: the device records, but nobody uses the data. A file is exported at month-end, rows are sorted by hand, and someone guesses when the person who forgot to clock out actually left. Morning lateness goes unnoticed, and overtime is paid on the employee's word.

Shift work makes it worse: a three-shift 3×8 pattern, staggered rest days, a Friday worked, a public holiday whose Eid date is only confirmed at the last minute. Without written rules somewhere, every month-end becomes a negotiation.

Punches become hours, hours become payroll

A compatible biometric time clock sends its punches to Almawarid on its own, over the Internet: this is the case for ZKTeco devices with the Cloud Server (ADMS) menu, and the module's help also covers setting up Anviz, Hikvision and Suprema devices. A device that is not connected is emptied with a file exported to a USB stick, which the screen imports. With no time clock, each employee clocks in from their dashboard with a Start and Stop button.

Your rules are written once in the settings: start and end times, weekend days, tolerated lateness, rounding, overtime threshold, lunch break, 3×8 shifts, national public holidays with the actual Eid date to confirm. Every day is then calculated: hours worked, lateness, absences, overtime awaiting approval, missing clock-outs flagged. Approved leave counts as leave, not as an absence.

A day of attendance, screen by screen

  1. Today: at 9 a.m., the team view: who has arrived, who is late, who is missing, who is on leave; the “To handle” tab gathers the morning's decisions, with an “Approve all” button.
  2. Presence: each employee's month, day by day: hours, lateness, overtime to accept or reject, holidays and weekends worked; a forgotten punch is added by hand, with the name of whoever added it.
  3. Schedule: the month grid, one employee per row and one day per column: each person's shift, rotation, rest days and leave; a button sends them their schedule on WhatsApp.
  4. Settings: hours, weekend, lateness tolerance, overtime threshold, time clocks, sites and public holidays: you set everything yourself.
  5. Import from time records: in the payslip, the month's days worked, absences and approved overtime are pulled in with one click.

What you gain

  • You pay for hours actually worked. Overtime goes through your approval before it reaches payroll.
  • Time-clock data left intact. A manual correction is added alongside and stays traceable; punches received from the device are never altered.
  • Several sites, each with its supervisor. A plant, a warehouse, a shop or a building site has its own members, and its team leader sees and schedules only them.
  • Site workers too. With the Construction sites module, the site attendance sheet feeds the payroll of workers who do not clock in.
  • Time off in lieu tracked. A public holiday or weekend worked earns time off in lieu, tracked for each employee.

Who is it for?

Time and attendance serves companies with working hours to enforce and hours to pay: workshops, factories, shops, warehouses, building sites. It works with a biometric time clock, with employees' web clock-in, or with both.

  • Factories and production workshops, including 3×8 shifts
  • Warehouses and logistics platforms
  • Supermarkets and store networks
  • Construction companies with several sites
  • Clinics, hotels and service companies with staggered hours

Frequently asked questions

Which time clocks are compatible?

Time clocks able to send their punches to a server, such as ZKTeco devices with the Cloud Server (ADMS) menu. The module's help also explains how to set up Anviz, Hikvision and Suprema. Give the advisor your device's model number and we check it with you.

Does the time clock need an Internet connection?

For punches to arrive on their own, yes. Otherwise you export the device's file to a USB stick and import it: the screen shows what will be recorded before writing it.

Can staff clock in without a time clock?

Yes: each employee has a Start and Stop button on their dashboard, and the manager sees who clocked in that way.

Is overtime paid automatically?

It is calculated automatically beyond the threshold you set, then you accept or reject it. By default, only approved hours reach the payslip.

How are public holidays handled?

Civil holidays are set for every year; religious holidays, announced only a few days ahead, are confirmed or corrected on the public holidays screen, where you also say whether the day is paid.
