Logistics manager with a tablet coordinating a transfer while a forklift loads a pallet into a small truck between two warehouses

A second shop, a depot on the edge of town, a van on a delivery round: as soon as your goods live in several places, the total is no longer enough. The Almawarid Multi-warehouse module tells you how much of each item you have, where it is, and what moved between your sites.

“We have it in stock… just not here”

The scene is familiar: the software shows twenty boxes, the customer is waiting at the counter, and the twenty boxes are in the depot across town. Or the reverse: one shop runs out of an item while the other is overflowing, and you buy again from the supplier what you already had.

Transfers happen by phone and on scraps of paper. The van leaves, nobody records what it carries, and at stocktake each site blames the other. Without stock per warehouse, the gap is real, but nobody can say where it started.

Stock per warehouse, and every movement in its place

You declare your warehouses once, central depot, Oran shop, delivery van, each with its name and address. From then on, every movement knows where it leaves from or arrives: scanning goods into the chosen warehouse, a delivery note releasing goods from the warehouse you pick, and the transfer, recorded as a pair of movements, minus at departure and plus at arrival, with its date and author. The item record shows the quantity in each warehouse, and a warehouse screen lists everything it holds.

The till follows the same principle. In till management, each till is linked to its warehouse: sales at the shop's till take stock out of the shop, and availability is checked against that warehouse, not the company total. Several tills run at once, and a cashier assigned to a till can only open that one.

Your sites, in four screens

  1. New warehouse: a name and an address; stock recorded before warehouses existed stays visible separately, as unassigned stock.
  2. Stock movement: type “Transfer”, source warehouse, destination warehouse and quantity: the item moves from one site to the other, and the movement stays traced.
  3. Manage registers and access: you create the till of each point of sale, assign its cashiers and choose the warehouse it draws from.
  4. New stocktake: you choose the warehouse, then all stock, one category or a selection; you count with a scanner, and validation adjusts that warehouse's stock.

What you gain

  • The right answer at the counter. You know whether the item is here, at the depot or in the other shop before saying no to a customer.
  • Fewer needless purchases. Before ordering, you see whether another site can transfer the goods.
  • Gaps you can locate. Each stocktake is done warehouse by warehouse, and a bin location specific to each warehouse can print on the counting sheet.
  • Independent tills. Each point of sale sells its own stock, with its own cashiers.
  • Hardware you already own. An Android handheld whose reader sends the code as keyboard input, or a USB scanner, is enough to count.

Who is it for?

The Multi-warehouse module serves every business whose stock is spread out: wholesalers with a warehouse and a showroom, chains of two or three shops, distributors loading delivery vans, contractors with a depot and building sites. It complements the Stock module.

  • Wholesalers and distributors with several warehouses
  • Shop networks and local chains
  • Distributors selling on delivery rounds
  • Building-materials merchants with a depot and a showroom
  • Pharmacies and drugstores with several outlets

Frequently asked questions

Can a van be a warehouse?

Yes: a warehouse is simply a named place. You transfer the load to the van in the morning, the round's delivery notes take goods out of the van, and returns come back by transfer.

Does a supplier delivery go straight into a specific warehouse?

Not yet: receiving a purchase order adds stock without a warehouse. To put goods away directly, scan them into the chosen warehouse, or transfer them afterwards.

Can several items be transferred at once?

Today a transfer is entered item by item, from the stock movement screen. A multi-line transfer note does not exist yet.

Do the sites need the internet?

For distant sites, yes: each works in the online version, on the same database. The Desktop edition serves the stations and handhelds of a single site over the local network, without the internet.

Can a stocktake cover a single warehouse?

Yes. That warehouse's expected stock is frozen when the count opens, counting can be blind, and validation turns differences into traced adjustments in that warehouse.

See the Multi-warehouse module on your own business

Come with the list of your sites and an item that often runs short in one of them: we create your warehouses, make a transfer and open a till on the right stock, in front of you.

  • The demo. An advisor shows you the Multi-warehouse module on your own business, online and on your screen, and answers your questions. Request a demo.
  • The trial version. It is switched on with an advisor during the demo, on your own account: your real products, your real customers, and 14 days to work in it. Create your account to request it.
  • The customisation workshops. During the trial, we adapt the screens, documents and settings with you to the way you work. These workshops are free.

You only pay if you decide to continue, and prices are shown before you start on the pricing page (in French).
