In most small Algerian businesses, the team talks through a WhatsApp group created on the manager's personal phone. Everything goes through it: instructions, questions about an order, congratulations, jokes. In the evening, work follows employees into their private lives; in the morning, the important instruction is nowhere to be found.
The real risk appears when someone leaves: they stay in the group until somebody thinks of removing them, and they keep on their phone everything that was ever written there. Work conversations are attached to nothing: neither to the company nor to the staff list.
A channel for the company, direct messages, access that follows the team
Team messaging is reserved for members of your company in Almawarid. The general channel brings the whole team together for announcements and instructions; next to it, each colleague has a private conversation, with an unread counter and a sign that your message has been read. A coloured dot shows who is online, based on their activity in the software. New messages appear within seconds, without reloading the page, on a computer or a phone.
The list of people is your team list, not a separate address book: an employee you add appears, an employee you deactivate can no longer sign in, so can no longer read or write anything. The history stays in the company account.
How it works, in four screens
- Messenger: the menu entry opens your company's discussion space: on the side, the general channel and the list of your colleagues with their presence.
- #général: the whole team's channel: an instruction, an announcement or a reminder, read by everyone in the same place.
- Direct message: a private conversation with a colleague; unread messages are counted, and you see when your message has been read.
- Team: when an employee leaves, you deactivate them: they can no longer sign in, their payroll and attendance history is kept, and their licence is freed.
What you gain
- Work kept apart from private life. Work conversations stay in the company's software, not on everyone's personal phone.
- Someone leaves, access is cut. Deactivating the employee is enough: they no longer have access to the conversations.
- No directory to maintain. Messenger members are your team members in Almawarid.

Frequently asked questions
Can we send photos or files?
Not yet: Messenger carries text messages. For a document, the relevant module (invoice, order, contract) remains the place to find it.
Is Messenger available during the trial?
No: it opens with a subscription. During the demo, the advisor shows it to you in a real situation.
Can we write in Arabic?
Yes, messages are written in the language of your choice, Arabic or French. The labels of the chat screen itself are in French for now.
Who can read the general channel?
All active members of your company, and only them. A deactivated employee no longer has access.
Is there an app to install?
No. Messenger opens inside Almawarid, from the browser on a computer or a phone.
